The Coal Quay Bar
The Coal Quay Bar is newly constructed and integrated into a council preserved old stone framework. Situated in the oldest city market with roots earlier than the 17th century, the bar is designed with a wooden & copper finish to fully compliment the existing stone. A large expansive space gives it a fine open airy feel, making it a rather special place in which to enjoy some fine fare, music and sporting events on plasma screens.
This is a stylishly converted pub with low ceilings, attractive dropped lamps, copper finishing, handsome wooden partitions, and an attractively laid out bar perfectly combining modern and traditional elements. The upstairs bar is on a large balcony overlooking the glass & stone front of the building.
Since its completion in October 2002, The Coal Quay Bar has quickly become one of Cork's hotspots for food by day, sports matches & nightlife. There’s a late bar every night with a good bustling atmosphere and live music Sunday & Monday ...
